Composition of the Tarot de Marseille

Like other Tarot decks, the Tarot de Marseille is divided into two main groups:

- Minor Arcana: The deck has 56 cards of four suits: Batons (Wands), Épées (Swords), Coupes (Cups) and Deniers (gold), as the Spanish cards, ranging from Ace (1) to 10 . Besides these, there are four allegorical figures for each suit: Valet (Jack), Chevalier or Cavalier (Horse), Reine (Queen) and Roi (King).

- Arcana: There are a total of 22 cards numbered. Sometimes the letter "El Loco" is not numerous, considering the letter or number "0" or "22".
