Used Car Auction - Dream or scheme?
I'm sure by now you've heard lots of stories about public auctions of used cars. From saving thousands at auction to tell sell cheap junk buy anything, the stories differ from one extreme to another. But what is true and which are from hearsay? Well, the answer is quite simple: you can save thousands of dollars off of well maintained used cars. But not all are created equal.
Since most of the cars used car auction public are confiscated by the government, police, bank, etc., the machines are generally in good condition. With the current economic crisis, a lot of people are getting their cars impounded because they simply can not afford their payments, taxes must go, or they got their car impounded and can not afford the kidnapping charge. So, you can remove with good car for next to nothing.
But this does not mean that all cars sold are in perfect condition. So, you really need to give every six machine offering a good control before you consider purchasing. Remember that all these cars are sold as-is in a position, which means that once you buy, the auctioneer is not responsible for any repairs that may be necessary. He may need something small like new brakes or gearbox oil. Or something as important as a new transmission. So, it would be in your best interest to take a mechanic with you.
So, used car auctions are more of a dream that such a scheme. While you can get great cars for pennies on the dollar, there is also a small chance that you'll come across a couple of batters. But, you can avoid altogether, taking with you or a mechanic give the car a good check on your own before bidding. Either way you go, you're bound to run into some real bargains .......
